EXCLUSIVE: Feature documentary Primadonna Or Nothing, about three opera singers at very different stages of their careers, has sold to the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) / China Film Group Corporation for China for Slon Sales House (SSales).
The film is expected to receive theatrical and festival distribution in China as part of a broader cultural distribution initiative in China, combining national festival programming at the National Centre for the Performing Arts with a wider China Film Group theatrical rollout.
Primadonna, directed by German filmmaker and music journalist Juliane Sauter, premiered at DOK Fest Munich last year.
Former Art Pictures executive Anna Strunevskaya moved from Russia to set up US-based SSales House in 2024.
