Prime Video India and South Korea’s CJ ENM have closed a multi-year distribution deal to significantly expand the streamer’s K-content offering for Indian audiences.
The collaboration will see a slate of 26 new titles from CJ ENM being rolled out over the next two years, alongside popular series from the Korean entertainment giant’s content library. It extends an existing worldwide deal between Prime Video and CJ ENM.
The deal, spanning more than 100 titles over two years, will see all new and upcoming titles feature subtitles in English and dubbing in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
The slate include season three of romantic drama Yumi’s Cells, CJ ENM’s flagship franchise. The pipeline also includes workplace comedy Filing For Love, fantasy comedy The Legend of Kitchen Soldier, and romantic comedy My Bias, My Boss.
Library titles include Dear X, Law In The City, Study Group, My Dearest Nemesis, Search: WWW and the first two seasons of Yumi’s Cells.
Jangho Seo, executive vice president of platform division at CJ ENM, said: “This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to expanding the global reach of Korean storytelling.”
