The UK production company behind The King’s Speech has made a documentary about the life of speech therapist Lionel Logue, which is being sold at MIPTV by LillaVision.

LillaVision is handling international sales rights on Bedlam’s follow up documentary, The King’s Speech: Revealed, which is being sold at MIPTV.

The co-production sales company signed a deal with the UK production company behind the Oscar winning The King’s Speech to represent a selection of the projects on Bedlam’s factual TV slate.

The documentary charts the story of Lionel Logue’s grandson Mark Logue and the cross-continental journey he undertakes to learn more about his grandfather and the friendship he formed with his patient King George VI. It includes footage of him meeting Geoffrey Rush and the film’s screenplay writer David Seidler.

Partners in the documentary also include Channel Five UK, NGCI and Smithsonian USA.

Bedlam’s Gareth Unwin was one of the Oscar-winning producers of The King’s Speech.
