EXCLUSIVE: British screen icons Ray Winstone and Danny Dyer are teaming up in a theatrical film for the first time with UK crime thriller Going Under.
The film has just wrapped production, directed by David Beton, from a script by Beton and David Garlick. Screen can reveal a first look at the film above.
Producers are James Harris, who recently produced worldwide horror hit Obsession, with Ed Caffrey, Dominic Burns, and Charley McDougal.
The film follows Riley (Winstone), a gangster trying to get one last big deal done with his right-hand man Don (Dyer). Lesley Sharp, Mickey Gooch, Daniel O’Reilly, Mirabel Stuart, Parker Sawyers, and Ed Kingsley are also on the cast.
Vertigo Releasing will release Going Under in UK-Ireland cinemas in spring 2027.

“At its heart, Going Under is a deeply personal story. It grew from an emotional place and explores family, loyalty, love and the lengths we’re prepared to go to for the people who matter most. Having the extraordinary, award-winning Lesley Sharp bringing Gilly to life alongside Ray and Danny is an absolute privilege. I couldn’t have wished for a finer cast to tell this story, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience it.”

Vertigo Releasing’s upcoming slate includes animation The Pout Pout Fish with Nick Offerman, Late Fame starring Willem Dafoe and Greta Lee, Molly Manners’ coming-of-age drama Extra Geography, and sci-fi romance Next Life starring Emilia Clarke and Edgar Ramirez.
Winstone and Dyer previously starred together in 2006 TV film All In The Game.
