‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’

The records keeping on coming for Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day as the tentpole crossed the $700m milestone at the North American box office in a record 13 days.

That surpasses the previous record of 16 days established by Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens at the start of 2016 and Avengers: Endgame in 2019.

By Thursday morning Brand New Day stood at $704.5m to rank as the sixth highest-grossing release of all time in unadjusted terms. It will overtake Top Gun: Maverick on $721.9m within days to enter the top five pantheon.

Internationally, the film has reached $1.1bn, surpassing Spider-Man: No Way Home to rank as Sony Pictures’ biggest film of all time overseas and the tenth highest-grossing film internationally.

Brand New Day also ranks as the studio’s highest-grossing release of all time in 26 international markets. Among the top-performing territories are China ($197.6m), UK ($95.4m), Mexico ($70.8m), France ($56m), India ($55.7m), Brazil ($52m), South Korea ($46.7m), Germany ($42.4m), Australia ($42.1m), and Italy ($34.1m).
