UK producer Tessa Ross will receive the industry lifetime achievement award from next month’s Rome Film Fest.
The CEO of London-based House Productions and former Film4 head will be presented on the festival’s opening night on October 13 by director Edward Berger, with whom Ross worked on Conclave.
Conclave won four Bafta awards, including the best film and outstanding British film prizes, and the Oscar for best adapted screenplay.
Ross has also produced Danny Boyle’s Ink, which recently made its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
Among recent House film productions are Andrea Arnold’s Bird, Sean Durkin’s The Iron Claw, Sebastián Lelio’s The Wonder and Alice Birch’s upcoming Sweetsick.
Ross also worked as an executive producer on Jonathan Glazer’s Oscar-winning The Zone Of Interest and They Shall Not Grow Old, the documentary by Oscar-winning director Peter Jackson.
The Rome Film Fest runs October 13-25.
