Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky’s Toronto-bound miscarriage of justice documentary will receive its US premiere with the fresh new ending that includes the release of the West Memphis 3.
The HBO Documentary Films production is scheduled for broadcast in 2012 and charts the case of three Arkansas teenagers convicted in 1993 of the murder of three eight-year-old boys.
The line-up of Masterworks, special presentations and anniversary films includes a preview of Oliver Stone’s documentary The Untold History Of The United States, produced as a 10-part miniseries for Showtime and set to air in 2012.
Also set to screen are Jorge Luis Borges’ 1969 Latin American thriller-fantasy Invasion and tenth anniversary presentations of Wes Anderson’s The Royal Tennenbaums and Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away.
