Universal's romantic comedy Along Came Polly passed $50m in international ticketsales at the weekend as it added an estimated $8.8m through UIP from 2,600dates in 24 markets for a $53.1m running total.
It opened top in Taiwan on $150,000 from 16 screens in the capitalTaipei and top in Argentina on the same amount from 37 screens.
Pollyopened second in the Netherlands on $450,000 from 88 and held strong in itsfourth week in Germany where it fell a mere 28% to add $1.7m from 485 for $8.5min its fourth week.
The distributor is contesting third place with Gothika, which is released by Columbia TriStarFilm Distributors International.
Pollyadded $1.2m from 239 in its second week in Spain, slipping 16% for $3m andranking third, while in the UK in its fourth week it added $940,000 from 360and slipped 42% for $13.1m.
There are 25 markets still to open, including Hong Kong, Indonesiaand Malaysia this week.
The dance drama Honey raised its international running total to $18.3m at the weekend,where the highlight was $1.3m from 316 in its second week in the UK for $3.9mand second place.
Honey has 15 more markets to open, includingSpain and Korea this week.
