Ventura Pons' Idiot Loveand Eduard Cortes' Other Days Will Come are two of the feature films setto receive backing from a Euros 40m fund created by Sogecable and CatalanTelevision (TVC).

The projects form part ofthe first Euros 4m earmarked from the fund, 50% of the anticipated investmentthis year. Four TV movies and four documentaries are also on the list.

Pons' Idiot Love (AmorIdiota) headlines rising star Santi Millan and Cayetana Guillen Cuervo inthe story of a lost man in his 30s who embarks on a passionate love affair witha woman.

The film shot in Barcelonaand Buenos Aires this summer for Pons' own production outfit Els Films de laRambla and Andorra-based Grandalla Cinematografica.

Cecilia Roth and AntonioResines co-star in Cortes' Other Days Will Come (Otro Dias Vendran), thetrue story-inspired tale of a schoolteacher who falls in love with a 15 yearold boy she meets on the internet. The Cerezo-Costa co-production is also inpost-production.
