Komplizen Flm, whose latest production of Ulrich Koehler’s Sleeping Sickness had its world premiere in the Berlinale Competition on Saturday, is the co-producer on two new international features by Miguel Gomes and Barbara Albert this year.

Shooting started at the end of last year in Portugal on Gomes’ drama Tabu and will continue this spring in Mozambique. Portugal’s O Som e A Furia is producing with France’s Shellac Sud, Brazil’s Gullane and broadcaster ZDF/Arte. The Match Factory are handling international sales

In addition, the Berlin/Munich-based company will be a partner on Coop 99’s production of Albert’s Otherworld (Die Lebenden Und Die Toten) which will shoot at locations in Austria, Germany and Poland later this year.

Komplizen Film is also at the development and financing stage for future films by Benjamin Heisenberg, Sonja Heiss, Valeska Grisebach and Edward Berger, among others.
