The UKFC is in possession of an huge amount of very useful data e.g. details of production budgets, P&A spends, performance inc cinema, sales agents estimates vs takes as well as data gathered through the findanyfilm website – who has been searching for what title, click through data. The digital innovation fund has given money for various ideas: what has worked, what hasn’t worked, what has been learnt. It is critical that the UKFC publishes as much data that is useful to all in the film industry before its doors are closed. Public money has been used by the UKFC to fund these various initiatives and this is invaluable information for the industry’s future.
