Roger Beck has joined Ascent Media Group as the director of film services, a new position based in London.

He will manage the film operations at Soho Images and Todd-AO.

Beck had been CEO of Technicolor Creative Services and is also a veteran of Deluxe, Thames Television, Granada and Vidfilm Europe.

Santa Monica, California-based Ascent Media Group is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Discovery Holding Company. Ascent has more than 75 international facilities including those in the UK. Recent projects include Sweeney Todd, Black Book, Brick Lane and The Brothers Grimm.

Paul Collard, Vice President of Film & Digital Services, said: 'Beck is perfect casting to head up the two labs, Soho Images and Todd-AO.
