Gabriele Salvatores, theOscar-winning Italian director of Mediterraneo and I'm Not Scared,will make his English-language feature debut The Rules Of Love in Canadaas an Italy/Canada co-production with Toronto-based Capri Films and Rome-basedColorado Film Production.
Inspired by the novel TheLoves Of Judith by Meir Shalev, The Rules Of Love was scripted byLaura Philips; it is the story of three men and their love for a woman namedJudith. For ten years, each man strives to win Judith's love for himself, butfails. When she gives birth to a son, the child of one of the three, he isaccepted and adopted by all three.
The film will shoot in 2005with Gabriella Martinelli, president of Capri, and Maurizio Totti, president ofColorado, producing.
