Paul Schrader has signed onto direct the Holocaust epic Adam Resurrected for Ehud Bleiberg'sfledgling Los Angeles-based Bleiberg Entertainment.

Bleiberg will commencecasting immediately and is eyeing a summer 2006 start date in Germany, Romania and Israel.

Noah Stollman adapted thescreenplay from Yoram Kaniuk's novel about a former circus entertainer andHolocaust survivor who inhabits an asylum populated by other survivors.

Bleiberg Entertainment isfinancing the film with German distributor EMS/3L and will also handleworldwide sales. Bleiberg will produce with EMS/3L chief Werner Wirsing, withUlf Israel serving as executive producer.

Bleiberg and attorney RobertNau negotiated the deal with ICM and Johnnie Planco of Parseghian Planco onbehalf of Schrader.
