LievSchreiber has joined the cast of Stone Village Pictures' upcoming GabrielGarcia Marquez adaptation Love In The Time Of Cholera.

Schreiberwill play Lotario Thugut, a telegram operator who befriends the lead character Florentinoand teaches him the ways of women.

AngieCepeda, Ana Claudia Talancon, Laura Harring and Rubria Negrao also join theexisting cast of Javier Bardem, Benjamin Bratt, John Leguizamo, HectorElizondo, and Giovanna Mezzogiorno.

Productionon the romance is underway in London and Cartagena in Colombia. Mike Newell isdirecting from a screenplay adapted by Ronals Harwood, who won the adaptedscreenplay Oscar for The Pianist in2003.

StoneVillage chief Scott Steindorff will produce, while Stone Village executivesDylan Russell and Michael Roban will serve as executive producers along withChris Law.

StoneVillage Pictures is fully financing, New Line holds domestic rights and SummitEntertainment is selling the film in international territories.
