Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll screenplay writer Paul Viragh is writing the script for a feature about The Clash singer and guitarist Joe Strummer, for Film4.

Damian Jones and Simon Halfon are producing the film, which has a working title Joe Publicand is currently at the development stage.

It will be the second partnership between Jones and Viragh following Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, which told the story of another punk rock legend, Ian Dury.
