Sky Movies Indie HD is working with the Edinburgh International Film Festival to have mirror screenings of festival selection Dead Happy on the channel.
The independent short comedy about the Grim Reaper stars Alice Lowe and Dario Bernal and was written by David Lemon and directed by Nicky Lianos. It was funded entirely by Sky Movies Indie HD.
The film will screen on Sky channel 339 at 12 pm and 8:30 pm on June 20, timed to the press and industry screenings of the film at EIFF.
The project is the winning entry for a competition organised by Sky Movies Indie HD, The Independent and SKillset.
Ian Lewis, Director of Sky Movies said, “We’ve always been proud to show a diverse range of content and with this competition, we’ve been able to take our commitment to independent film one step further by giving a member of the general public the opportunity to make HD film content for our channel.”
