Spanish films continued performing well at the local box office. Comedy Football Days (Dias De Futbol) held steady in third position on its fifth weekend out through Buena Vista International, earning a cumulative Euros 6.55m. The total makes it the second highest grossing Spanish film of the year to date.

Paz Vega-starrer Carmen dropped to fifth ranking, but with its cumulative Euros 3.7m it is now the year's fourth top grossing local film of the year. BVI saw a strong per-screen average of both releases - Euros 4,596 for Football Days and Euros 3,907 for Carmen.

Alta Films release Take My Eyes (Te Doy Mis Ojos) jumped up to eighth position in its second weekend, with a strong Euros 4,422 per-screen average off just 81 copies and a cumulative gross of Euros 861,609.

Top grossers this weekend were new openers Underworld (Filmax) and Once Upon A Time In Mexico (BVI), with Euros 1.47m and Euros 1.16m respectively on 280 and 300 prints.
