Anita Takes A Chance (Anita No Pierde El Tren), from veteran Spanish director Ventura Pons, has been invited to screen in the Panorama section of the Berlin International Film Festival.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that Pons will screen a film in Berlin, following To Die- Or Not (Morir- O No), Friend/Beloved (Amigo/Amado) and Caresses (Caricias). The director is also the subject of a retrospective planned this winter by the American Cinematheque in Los Angeles.

Anita has also been invited to compete in the official section of Argentina's Mar del Plata International Film Festival in March. The bittersweet comedy was warmly received on its early premiere at the Spanish Film Screenings in Lanzarote last month. It tells the story of a middle-aged woman (Pons regular Rosa Maria Sarda) who begins an affair with a married construction worker (Jose Coronado) after losing her job. Maria Barranco and Jordi Dauder co-star.

Madrid-based Kevin Williams Associates (KWA) handles international sales on the film.
