Summit International has announced major territory sales on a high-prestige EFM slate led by deals with Pathe in France, Kinowelt in Germany and Rai/01 in Italy on Roman Polanski's thriller The Ghost starring Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan.

Eagle Pictures in Italy, which had already taken rights on Twilight follow-up New Moon, took a package of films including $50m family romp Furry Vengeance starring Brendan Fraser as well as teen titles Bandslam, Sorority Row and Sex Drive.

New Moon was confirmed as landing at Summit's output partners E1 in the UK, Telemuenchen/Concorde in Germany and SND in France but new deals were struck here with Aurum in Spain and Belga in Benelux.

A Japanese deal is likely to close after Twilight launches in Japan in April. To date Twilight has grossed more than $350m worldwide, $161m of which comes from international territories.

Meanwhile RCV also took rights to Furry Vengeance in Benelux, and SND bought Imagi Studios' Astroboy.
