Submarine has closed worldwide sales on Glenn McQuaid’s Slamdance premiere I Sell The Dead.

IFC Films has acquired US rights, Anchor Bay has taken the UK, Australian, New Zealand and Canadian rights, and Screen Media has picked up all remaining worldwide territories.

IFC plans an August US release on its theatrical and VOD day-and-date platform for the horror film, which premieres in June at the Los Angeles Film Festival

Larry Fessenden, Dominic Monaghan, Ron Perlman and Angus Scrimm star in the story of an 18th century condemned corpse robber’s bizarre confession. Fessenden and Peter Phok produced through Fessenden’s New York-based Glass Eye Pix.

Submarine’s Josh Braun negotiated the deals with Arianna Bocco for IFC Films, Susan Curran and Rob Herholz for Anchor Bay Entertainment Canada, and Rob Lynch and Michael Dwyer for Screen Media.

McQuaid said: “After literally travelling the world on the I Sell The Dead film festival tour, I’m over the moon that we’ve found a home for the movie with IFC Films, Anchor Bay and Screen Media.”
