Trigger Street Independent(TSI), the low budget production outfit announced in Toronto last month byKevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti's TriggerStreet Productions, has launched itstelevision arm.

The new entity kicks offwith the production of two pilots, the scripted half-hour comedy Hell OnWheels written and executiveproduced by Laura Kightlinger for IFC, and the reality show CelebrityCharades with Hillary Swank, ChadLowe and Bob Balaban for AMC.

Balaban will direct andserve as executive producer on both projects, with TSI's filmmaker brothersAdam and Mark Kassen also serving as executive producers. TSI's director ofproduction and development Mark Olsen will oversee all projects.

"We intend to focus ontelevision projects that involve the same community and sensibilities as thefeature division," Adam Kassen said in a statement. "Someone as innovative andeclectic as Bob Balaban exemplifies that ideology."

TSI intends to produce atleast three features a year for less than $1m each, using digital technologyprovided by TSI partners who include Technicolor, Goldcrest Post Production,ZGC and Panasonic.
