McFarling, who has been at the UKFC since its inception in 1999, will head up the London firm’s corporate PR department.

UKFC stalwart Tina McFarling has joined Premier PR as head of corporate PR. She will take up the post on 4 April.

McFarling joins Premier PR after working for the UK Film Council as head of industry relations where she led the organisation’s public relations work across the film sector. She has been at the UKFC since it was launched in 1999.

Prior to working at the Film Council McFarling ran the corporate press office for the British Film Institute after managing press and PR for the British Film Commission. She began her career as a journalist, working as the news editor of Screen International, before making the switch into public relations.

John Reiss, Chairman of Premier PR said of the appointment: “As a highly experienced industry professional who has worked on major news issues and successfully helped to raise the profile of the UK film industry and many of the film companies and organisations working within it, Tina will be a most valuable addition to the Premier PR team.”
