London, Twickenham-based VFX boutique The Senate Visual Effects has opened a second studio in Soho.  Located in the same building as audio house De Lane Lea, the facility will offer shot reviews, screenings and other VFX processes.

The main software packages available at the new office are Maya, Nuke, Shake, After Effects and Framecycler.

“The Soho location is convenient for our clients and also puts us in the middle of London’s thriving visual effects community,” says CEO Sarah Hemsley. “Plus De Lane Lea is a hub for London’s filmmaking industry, and has wonderful facilities which The Senate clients and staff can take advantage of.”

The Senate specialises in CG environments and invisible effects. It recently completed 215 shots on The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and is currently in production on Captain America: The First Avenger and Priest.
