Warner Music UK has acquired UK rights to the supernatural occult thriller Chemical Wedding and has scheduled a theatrical in May.

Former Iron Maiden front man Bruce Dickinson wrote the screenplay and Simon Callow stars as a Cambridge professor who wreaks havoc after he is possessed by the spirit of the Edwardian British occultist Aleister Crowley.

Ed Noeltner's Cinema Management group is handling worldwide sales.

Julian Doyle directed and David Pupkewitz, Malcolm Kohll, Ben Timlett and Justin Peyton produced.

'Everyone at Warner Music Entertainment is thrilled to be distributing this exceptional film in the UK, especially as Chemical Wedding is our first major step into the theatrical market,' Warner Music Entertainment marketing director Jon Sadler said.

'The film has great potential as it appeals to several broad consumer groups, who happen to be both ardent cinema-goers and DVD purchasers.'
