The UK's Revolver has picked up rights to J.C.V.D. , the latest Jean-Claude Van Damme film being sold by Gaumont.

The film has been generating a lot of buzz on the Internet and is a hot seller for the French studio.

A mix of reality and fiction, the J.C.V.D. looks at what happens when a movie star is forced to turn into an ordinary guy. It is also a story of redemption.

Other sales on the $17m (Euros 11m) picture include Koch Media in Germany, Spentzos in Greece, SPI in Eastern Europe, EEAP in CIS, Monopole Pathe in Switzerland, Flashstar/Seven for Latin America and Cineart in Brussels.

Many other territories are under negotiation with the film world premiering today.
