A-Film Distribution has been on a Cannes buying binge.

The Benelux Distributor, which is in the market again acquiting aggressively, has picked up a host of Cannes titles, including Milk (Gus van Sant, starring Sean Penn), The Other Man (Richard Eyre, starring Liam Neeson and Laura Linney), Mammoth (Lukas Moodysson, starring Gael Garcia Bernal and Michelle Williams), Lion's Den (Pablo Trapero, starring Martina Gusman) Untitled Sam Mendes Project (starring Maggie Gyllenhaal and John Krasinski), Captain Abu Raed (Amin Matalga), Frozen River (Courtney Hunt) Hamlet 2 (Andrew Fleming) Piranha 3-D (Alexandre Aja) and Unthinkable (Gregor Jordan, starring Samuel L. Jackson)

'It's been a good week. We've picked up some great independent arthouse and cross-over titles, as well as some interesting commercial projects,' commented Managing Director Wilco Wolfers.

A-Film Distribution is expecting to release the above mentioned titles in the Benelux in 2008 or 2009.
