Kapadia to mentor winner of a Nintendo and BFI shorts competition, backed by Ridley Scott.

Senna director Asif Kapadia will mentor the winner of a BFI-Nintendo shorts competition, which is backed by Ridley Scott.

Shorts for the ‘A Vision in 3D’ competition must be shot on the Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 3DS XL and be focused around the theme of British Summer 2012, with the winning film screened during the BFI London Film Festival (10 – 21 October).

The winner will get an opportunity to shoot a new 3D short film, in collaboration with Kapadia, fellow mentor Stuart Warren-Hill and a professional crew, on location in London. The film will also screen at the LFF.

The judging panel will include Warren-Hill and Kapadia.
