Australia 's newest theatrical distributor, All Interactive Distribution, has picked up five titles and will make its first theatrical release, John Dahl's You Kill Me, in September.

The US independent film, which is sold by Capitol Films, goes out in US cinemas later this month. It stars Ben Kingsley and Tea Leoni in the story of a hit man who goes to work in a mortuary.

Other upcoming theatrical titles include director Tom DiCillo's comedy/drama Delirious (sold by Peach Arch), which stars Steve Buscemi, Joseph Greco's award-winning family drama Canvas (Cinemavault), starring Joe Pantoliano and Marcia Gay Harden, and Interview (Cinemavault), in which Buscemi plays a fading political journalist and also directs the film, which is based on the work of murdered Dutch director Theo van Gogh.

All Interactive has also picked up rights to the Australian film Blackwater from London-based AV Pictures. The crocodile thriller that was written and directed by Andrew Traucki and David Nerlich and the company expects to release it locally in November.

'We want straight-down-the-line mainstream product rather than arthouse films,' said sales and acquisitions manager Kim Berwick. She said that going into theatrical and DVD distribution was a natural progression for the company, which was established in 1994 and up to now has principally handled the manufacture and dispatch of films and games for other companies.

She agreed that the market is crowded but said she was excited by the films that they have already acquired.
