Django Unchained held on to pole position outside North America thanks to an estimated $30.6m weekend haul from 65 markets through Sony Pictures Releasing International. The running total stands at $158.2m.

The biggest earner was Germany, which stayed top on $6.4m for $29.8m after three weekends. France also returned a number one result in the third weekend as $4.9m boosted the tally to $22.8m. The UK generated $2.8m for $16.7m and Django ranks second.

James Bond smash Skyfall is on course to cross $800m by next weekend after adding $6.7m from 25 markets to stand at $791.5m. The film crossed $50m in China, where $6.1m in the second weekend elevated the score to $50.4m.

Lincoln produced $13m through 43 Fox International markets to stand at a relatively early $32.7m. The historical drama opened second in France on $2.8m from 312 and ranks second in Italy on $2.2m for $5.7m after two. Lincoln grossed $2.2m in the UK for $6.7m and ranks third.

Life Of Pi is steering towards the $450m mark and added $10.1m from 48 markets to reach $443.5m. Japan led the way on $2.6m for $10.6m to rank third after its second weekend. The UK generated $1.4m for $43.9m and Pi ranks fifth.

Parental Guidance stands at $37.7m while Break Up Man has mustered $18.2m overall and $17.4m in Germany.

Working Title’s Les Misérables is projected to cross $200m on Monday after $12.2m from 40 territories elevated the running total to $198.4m and the worldwide score to $339.9m.

The musical stayed top in the UK for the fourth consecutive weekend as $4.7m boosted the tally to $48.2m. Les Misérables ranks as Working Title’s fifth biggest release of all time in the UK.

Zero Dark Thirty grossed $3.7m from eight Universal territories for $13m. 

Mama added $2.4m from eight for an early $5.8m and opened in second place in Mexico on $1.9m. 

This Is 40 stands at an early $6.1m, Anna Karenina $38.2m and Pitch Perfect $44m.

Universal is releasing Chinese Zodiac in Russia where the film debuted in first place on $4.3m for Jackie Chan’s biggest launch.

Ted crossed $300m internationally on Friday [Feb 1] through Universal Pictures International. The hit stayed top in Japan for the third weekend in a row on $3.3m for $18.8m and ranks as the biggest R-rated comedy in history. Overall the potty-mouthed bear stands at $303.8m.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters grossed $15m through Paramount Pictures International (PPI) from 36 territories to reach $62.2m after three weekends, rising to $62.5m including Norway through SF Norge.

The fantasy action-adventure added $2.8m in Brazil for $10.3m and $2.2m in Mexico for $7.5m, both after two weekends. Russia has generated $18.6m after three.

Flight grossed $9.2m for $22.3m, of which $6.4m for $15.7m comes from PPI markets. The drama landed in the UK on $2.1m from 387 venues and arrived in Australia on $1.8m from 226. After two weekends the film has amassed $3.3m in Italy through PPI, $3.6m in Germany through StudioCanal and $2.6m in Spain through Tripictures.

Jack Reacher generated $4.6m from 60 territories and stands at $112.1m after a $3.6m number one launch in Japan, a big Tom Cruise territory.

DreamWorks Animation’s Rise Of The Guardians grossed $1.3m from 38 to reach $197.3m after 12 weekends.

Tad The Lost Explorer opened in Mexico on $1.4m from 515.

The Impossible grossed $7.3m through Lionsgate International and stands at $129.7m. The hit arrived in Italy on $1.3m from 247 to rank third.

The Last Stand added $3.7m for an early $13.2m.

Crime thriller Gangster Squad grossed $4.7m from 46 Warner Bros Pictures International territories to reach $35.4m. 

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey brought in a further $4.2m from 59 territories and has reached $653m. Germany and the UK are the lead territories on $86.6m and $83.5m, respectively.

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International reported that Wreck-It Ralph grossed $4m to boost the running total to $193.4m. Australia is the lead market thus far on $23.7m, followed by Brazil on $20m and Russia on $14.7m.
