Dark House and The White Ribbon are honoured by Polish critics

Wojciech Smarzowski’s Dark House was named best Polish film of 2009, whilst Michael Haneke’s The White Ribbon was named best foreign film at the Golden Tapes, which took place in Warsaw on March 4.

Two distinction awards were also granted to Waltz with Bashir and Aleksei German’s Russian film Paper Solider.

The awards are voted for by Polish critics who are members of the Association of Polish Filmmakers (SFP).
