Montreal sales house Delphis Films has wrapped a number of international deals on Natasha Arthy's Fighter.

The film, which premiered in the Berlinale 14+ competition and will screen at Tribeca, has sold to more than a dozen countries, including Momentum for the UK, Europacorp for France, Hopscotch for Australia, VCL for Germany, and R Film in Turkey. Delphis reports strong interest from the US and Japan.

Described as 'the first large-scale high wire martial arts drama from Denmark' - the action is choreographed by Xian Gao of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon fame - the film follows a young girl whose passion for kung fu clashes with her conservative Turkish immigrant family. Accomplished karate competitor Semra Turan plays the lead.

Xiaojuan Zhou, vice president of Delphis said in a statement that the film has invitations from a number of festivals during the next 12 months while its commercial release rolls out in various markets. Delphis has booked two screenings for the film at the Cannes Film Market.
