Film-makers fromthe UK, France, Romaniaand the US were among 11 prizewinners at this year'sEncounters Short Film Festival.

Theawards were handed out atthe Watershed in the UK city of Bristol.

Some 1,750 shorts from a record 66 countries entered the event.
