Brad Pitt is in talks to reunite with Andrew Dominik, his director on The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford, on the comedic crime story.

Inferno Entertainment is introducing the project to buyers at AFM this week in what will be one of the biggest buzz titles on the market.

Pitt and Dede Gardner are producing through Plan B in what is shaping up to be Pitt’s second collaboration with Inferno after Screen revealed in Cannes that he was negotiating to produce and star in adventure project The Lost City Of Z for James Gray.

Steve Schwartz and Paula Mae Schwartz of Chockstone Pictures will also produce Cogan’s Trade, based on a screenplay by Dominik about Jackie Cogan, a professional enforcer who investigates a heist that takes place during a high stakes poker game under protection of the mob.

Inferno’s Bill Johnson and Jim Seibel will serve as executive producers alongside Marc Butan.

CAA brokered the deal between Plan B, Chockstone and Inferno and will represent domestic rights. Pitt and Plan B are represented by CAA and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
