EXCLUSIVE: Metrodome nabs Gabriele Salvatores’ Siberian Education in Cannes and Ciaran Foy’s Citadel.

UK distributor Metrodome has picked up Gabriele Salvatores English-language thriller Siberian Education, starring John Malkovich, and Ciaran Foy’s Citadel.

Adapted from Nicolai Lilin’s memoir about a gang of children growing up in a community of banished criminals, Siberian Education grossed more than €6m at the Italian box office.

The deal was negotiated by Eve Schoukroun from WestEnd Films and Metrodome’s head of acquisitions Giles Edwards.

Directed by Ciaran Foy and starring Aneurin Barnard and James Cosmo, Citadel tells the story of an agoraphobic young father who teams up with a vigilante priest to save his daughter from a gang of twisted feral children.

The deal was negotiated by Kennedy and Sebastian Beffa of Films Distribution on behalf of producers Brian Coffey and Kate Holly.
