The 28th annual jamboree will take place from Jan 24-Feb 3.

“The 27th edition was an exciting one for us – full of changes and growth with our first ever acquisitions programme,” SBIFF executive director Roger Durling said. “Now in the midst of preparations for the 28th edition, we guarantee you that the best is yet to come.”

SBIFF top brass said the event draws more than 70,000 visitors each year and “endeavours to enrich the community both culturally and economically by presenting eleven days of films, tributes and symposiums, raising consciousness of film as an art form.”
