Film Movement has acquired the North American theatrical and home video rights to Fraulein, which as been screening this week at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Andrea Staka's feature is about three modern women from the former Yugoslavia now living in Switzerland who have to come to terms with their pasts.
The film has already collected awards in Locarno, Sarajevo and the Swiss Film Awards.
The deal was negotiated by Film Movement president Adley Gartenstein with Ida Martins and Andrew Chang for Media Luna.
