here! Films has acquired North American rights to Laurie Lynd's family comedy Breakfast With Scot, the opening night screening of Outfest 2008: The 26th Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.
Based on Michael Downing's novel of the same name, the picture charts the lives of a gay couple who take temporary custody of an 11-year-old budding queen. Tom Cavanagh, Ben Shenkman and Noah Bernett star.
Miracle Pictures' Paul Brown produced and Nadine Schif served as executive producer. here! Films' West Coast general manager and executive vice president of distribution and acquisitions Mark Reinhart brokered the deal with Brown.
The picture will open in autumn through here! Films' sister company Regent Releasing.
