In the latest manna from heaven for Star Wars fans, J.J. Abrams has teased an X-Wing Starfighter that will be used in next year’s Star Wars VII.

Abrams teased the battle-scarred fighter plane as part of Disney’s UNICEF fundraising campaign Force for Change.

Prizes for donors to the campaign for children include an advanced screening of Star Wars VII and the chance to appear in the film itself.

It has already been revealed that Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon will appear in the seventh film.

Expect a healthy stream of teasers in the 16 months before the film is released, with each and every nugget discussed, shared and pored over on Twitter and other social media.
