Director Steve Barker has started principal photography on his debut feature, Outpost. The action horror film is set in war-torn Eastern Europe

The film, written by Rae Brunton, is set in an unnamed Eastern European country, where battle-worn mercenaries are hired by a mysterious businessmen for his own special mission.

Ray Stevenson, Julian Wadham, Richard Brake, Michael Smiley, Enoch Frost, Paul Blair, Julian Rivett, Brett Fancy and Johnny Meres star.

The project is shooting on location near Dumfries, west Scotland, and in a Glasgow studio. The shoot will wrap in February.

Black Camel Pictures and Cinema One are producing in association with Matador Pictures and Regent Capital.

Black Camel's Arabella Page Croft and Kieran Parker are producing, with Cinema One's Nigel Thomas serving as executive producer along with ContentFilm's Jamie Carmichael and Graham Begg. ContentFilm has worldwide sales rights.
