As a followup to his summer 2002 hit Pot Luck (L'Auberge Espagnole)), CedricKlapisch will begin shooting its sequel Russian Dolls (Poupees Russes))on June 1 in Paris.

The filmreunites its production team, including Klapisch's partner Bruno Levy - the twoare at the head of production outfit Ce Qui Me Meut which produced Pot Luck.Levy told ScreenDaily.com that other financial partners such as France 2 Cinemaand Mars Films would likely jump on board as well. StudioCanal is handlinginternational sales which will begin at Cannes.

Alsoreturning are five of the first film's main cast members: Romain Duris, Cecilede France, Audrey Tautou, Kelly Reilly and Kevin Bishop.

Levyexplained that the idea for the sequel actually came about during the shoot ofthe original film. Klapisch had envisioned shooting a two-parter, buteventually the decision was made to do only the one film. Following that, Levyexplained, "So many people asked him when they would see the characters again,"that he decided to rework what he had originally planned for the second partand came up with Russian Dolls so that the film "is an episode in themain character's life but also independent of the first film."

With abudget of Euros 10.5m, Dolls comes in at double Pot Luck's pricetag and will shoot in Paris, London and St Petersburg
