Lorianne Hall been appointed head of development and creative producer at UK-based Ipso Facto Films, one of the producers of last year's Berlin hit Irina Palm.

Hall, a veteran of the US and Europe, previously served as head of development and creative producer for Ireland's Samson Films, literary agent at The Paul Kohner Agency and creative executive at US-based Beacon Pictures.

She will manage the existing slate of films for both Ipso Facto and its new low-budget offshoot Moxie Makers, which is partnered with sales company Moviehouse Entertainment and distributor Soda Pictures. She will also spearhead all new acquisitions for Ipso Facto, which is headed by Christine Alderson.

'We are delighted that Lorianne is joining us in this capacity. Her talent and energy will make a huge difference to both the company and our projects,' Alderson said.

Hall will be based in London.

Ipso Facto's current slate includes Moxie productions Mad, Sad & Bad starring Meera Syal; documentary Who Killed Nancy' and Shimmy Marcus' Souled Out.
