Metrodome beefs up home entertainment slate with 7 new titles

The UK’s Metrodome Distribution has acquired seven new titles for its 2009 home entertainment slate.

The new titles are American Virgin, The Dragon Chronicles: Fire & Ice, Dragon Quest, Love Hurts, Assault Of Darkness, Deadline and Leningrad.

The deals were negotiated for Metrodome by CEO Peter Urie, general manager, distribution Sara Frain and head of acquisitions James Brown. The slate covers a variety of genres including fantasy action adventure such (The Dragon Chronicles0 and romantic comedy (Love Hurts).

The Dragon Chronicles follows on from Metrodome’s recent home entertainment success with Dragon Hunter, and the deal was negotiated with Anca Truta at Metrodome’s majority shareholder Media Pro.

Meanwhile, Love Hurts stars Richard E Grant in his role as a newly separated father who is taught how to date again by his son, who himself dreams of conquering one girl’s heart. The deal was negotiated with Carole Curb at Curb Entertainment.

The distributor will release the titles this year across VOD, rental and DVD platforms.
