Former Windmill Lane executive to work as co-producer and access Irish tax credit.

Michael Murphy, the former Chief Executive of Windmill Lane Entertainment, has launched a new Dublin-based company, Rockabill Media.

The company aims to offer “full production services across film and television drama as a co-producer, not just in post and VFX, but also most importantly, accessing the Irish tax incentives to package services in Ireland.”

For the past two years, Murphy had been at Windmill Lane, where credits include Luc Besson’s Lockout, Mary Harron’s The Moth Diaries and TV drama Titanic Blood and Steel.

Murphy said: “My ambition is to provide a completely transparent funding structure so that all aspects of the financing process are visible and accessible to my clients, and of course I am very interested in seeing where I can add value to projects.”

Prior to joining Windmill Lane, he founded Ireland’s Channel 6 and also worked at EIRCOM and Yes Television.
