Steve McEveety’s LA-based Mpower Pictures will produce the tween romantic comedy Hello, I Love You to be directed by Sunu Gonera.

Kim Beyer-Johnson wrote the screenplay about a frustrated teenager who wishes for a brand new family only to wake up every morning in a new family, each a bit stranger than the last.

David McFadzean of Wind Dancer Films will serve as executive producer.

Mpower’s slate includes the family title Snowmen and The Stoning Of Soraya M. The company is in development on the Joe Eszterhas screenplay Guadalupe, about a mystical 16th century icon that galvanised Mexico’s independence.

McEveety has also secured the rights to Immaculee Ilibagiza’s The New York Times bestseller Left to Tell.
