Aimee Mullins, James Frainand Kate Burton have joined the cast of HDNet Films' Quid Pro Quo, partof a slate of seven new titles the company announced in Toronto.

Based on the novel by CarlosBrooks, Quid Pro Quo stars Nick Stahl as a wheelchair-bound public radiojournalist who meets a driven, able-bodied woman played by Vera Farmiga whocraves to become paralysed and live life on wheels.

The picture is currentlyshooting in New York and isbeing produced by HDNet Films with Midge Sanford and Sarah Pillsbury.

HDNet Films chiefs JasonKliot and Joana Vicente are serving as executive producers along with parentcompany 2929 Entertainment co-heads Todd Wagner and Mark Cuban.

Sanford and Pillsburyacquired the rights from Ampersand Management Group representing Brooks.

Like every picture on HDNetFilms' slate, Quid Pro Quo will eventually be released in North America simultaneously through various 2929 holdings.

Those holdings includetheatrical distributor Magnolia Pictures, theatrical exhibitor Landmark Theatres,among others, day-and-date television premieres on the HDNet Movies network,and home video distribution through arrangements yet to be announced.
