Hong Kong-based All Rights Entertainment has closed a Japanese deal on Wong Ching Po’s Revenge: A Love Story, which has gone to Tokyo-based Medallian Media Co.
The deal, which was concluded at the recent European Film Market in Berlin, follows a string of other sales on the title. The dark crime drama has also gone to Madman for Australia/NZ, Terracotta for the UK, I-ON Media for German-speaking territories, Verne Films for Spain and Maywin Films for Russia.
Among Asian territories, the film has also been sold to AUD for South Korea, Fortune Star for Taiwan, Universal Full Band Media for mainland China and Hwa Yea Multimedia for Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
The film, which stars Juno Mak, was awarded the Silver George award for best director, as well as The Second Diploma of Russian Film Critics, at last year’s Moscow International Film Festival. It also won best actor at last year’s Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival.
