The Royals are scheduled to turn up to the inaugural Brits To Watch dinner in Los Angeles on July 9.

The event will pay tribute to 42 British talents in entertainment who will be announced closer to the show and will get the chance to mingle with Hollywood professionals on the night.

The soiree is one of several engagements the royal pair will attend during a brief trip to Los Angeles. Prince William is the president of Bafta.

Bafta Los Angeles chairman Nigel Lythgoe said: “This very special event is an excellent extension of Bafta’s charitable work in Los Angeles, and around the world. Promoting the individual and collective achievements of our most promising emerging British talent is such an important part of our remit, whilst encouraging goodwill for the UK and opening further opportunities for UK-US collaboration.”
