The former sevp of creative advertising at Sony will work closely with co-president of marketing Michael Moses and replaces Eddie Egan, who transitioned to Universal evp and head of marketing at Illumination.

Goldstine spent two decades at Sony where he led campaigns for the Spider-Man franchise, The Social Network, The Karate Kid, Battle: Los Angeles and eight Will Smith films, among others.

“Josh has repeatedly and consistently proven himself a top advertising and marketing executive, and we are fully confident his leadership will continue to build upon this division’s recent successes with Hop, Fast Five and Bridesmaids,” chariman Adam Fogelson and co-chairman Donna Langley said in a joint statement. 

Goldstine will report to Fogelson.
