Bruce-Smith becomes head of commercial and brand strategy, Lavender becomes commissioning executive.

Film4, Channel 4’s film division, has promoted Sue Bruce-Smith to head of commercial and brand strategy from head of commercial development and Sam Lavender to commissioning executive from head of development.

Bruce-Smith will continue to oversee the financing and distribution of all Film4’s projects and will lead the strategic vision for the film brand’s future.

The company is currently looking for a new head of development and has been filling more junior positions in the development team in recent weeks.

Forthcoming productions include Jonathan Glazer’s Under the Skin, Shane Meadows’ The Stone Roses, Kevin Macdonald’s How I Live Now, James Griffiths’ Cuban Fury, Richard Ayoade’s The Double, Danny Boyle’s Trance, Anton Corbijn’s A Most Wanted Man, Justin Kurzel’s Our Kind of Traitor and Michael Winterbottom’s Untitled Paul Raymond Story (working title).
